The Fem Word: Grateful

Monika Samtani and Natasha Samtani, The Fem Word

The Fem Word started with an idea: sharing true personal stories of women from around the world. Today, we are so proud of our small but mighty team of women and girls who have connected with people from 99+ countries representing all walks of life to share their beautiful stories. We learn so much from each other, and it’s incredible what the power of storytelling can do to unite us as human beings.

Happy Thanksgiving from The Fem Word team. Today we are grateful for our family, friends, and you - our supporters from all over the world.

With love and light,

Monika Samtani and Natasha Samtani, Co-Founders (and mother & daughter team), The Fem Word

This year I’m especially grateful for my sisters. We spent the last year running a baking business together, so it has been strange not being home and baking with them now that I am away at college. When I come home to visit now, though, we have so much fun doing everything together.

Laura Hennawi

Through isolation over the past year and so much uncertainty, my family has been my rock. Spending so much time at home over the past year was hard, but it helped me strengthen bonds with them that I didn’t know could deepen even further. I’m so thankful for them & their strength, passion, and kindness; I don’t know where I’d be without it!

Asmi Pareek with her family

Every year I say I am grateful for my family and friends, but this year I truly felt their support. From struggling with the fear of covid as we returned to school without vaccines early this year, to loss of a friend mid year, to dealing with sickness of my grandmother in addition to junior year stress, I realized how your community surrounds and lift you up. So this year I am deeply grateful for the gift of family and friends in my life who empower me to keep going.
