A Safe Space Needed for Kenya’s Women

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, there has been an upsurge in gender-based violence across the world against women and girls. On Monday, Kenya’s president ordered an investigation into rising reports of rape, domestic violence, female genital mutilation (FGM) and child marriage. A 7-year-old Wants Multi-Cultural Crayons and Books

Seven-year-old Madison Wilson is one of three black children in her entire school. Wilson says, “...crayons are either too dark or too light” for her, and so she wanted “all the kids to be able to find something that would match them."
