The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on an economic crisis unlike anything we have seen since the Great Depression. In April, fifty-five percent of jobs lost were held by women..and a disproportionate of those were nonwhite faces. In other words...it’s a “Shecession”.

Lash Nolen is the first...and last... black woman to become class president at Harvard Medical School. Nolen laments, “you can’t be what you can’t see”, and wants to have policies in place for black women to have a fair chance to be the best. Read More
